Civil register needs safety guarantee

The procedure by which a government keeps track of its inhabitants’ life events – such as births, marriages, and deaths – is known as civil registration. Its primary goal is creation of legally required personal documents. NAO of Kosovo found that apart from continuous development, operator of the civil registry should improve its IT gov-ernance, information security and application controls.
